Qigong (chee’-gong) is one of the best ways in the world to keep yourself healthy, full of energy, pain-free, and young. It’s great for health and longevity because, just like acupuncture, it keeps all the energy channels in your body and your vital organs clear of energy blockages.
Qigong helps your body to heal itself:
- physically
- emotionally
- mentally
- spiritually
When energy gets stuck, you feel stiffness, pain, emotional imbalance, or mild illnesses. When energy remains stuck, it develops into more serious illnesses.
All pain and illnesses result from internal energy blockages—even cancer tumors—even colds and flu—even depression and stress—everything. Why? Because we are made of energy.
Why does energy get stuck?
It’s simple—energy gets stuck when we don’t care for ourselves as well as we should. We’re stressed, we’re tired, we’re not eating well enough, we’re not moving and exercising—we’re pushing ourselves beyond our capacity. We lack balance. Also, we might be taking the wrong medication, and sometimes we have accidents.
What’s the main reason our energy gets stuck and we get sick? It’s our negative, stress-induced emotions. It’s the mind-body connection we know about but don’t always pay attention to. Anger, insecurity, frustration, jealousy, the inability to forgive, judgments, fear, anxiety, self-doubt, negative thinking—our emotions catch up with us and manifest physical issues and illnesses.
We need an antidote. We need to unwind!
We have a weekly Qigong group practice to motivate you
A daily practice of Qigong will improve many things in your life. Just as with meditation, practicing Qigong in a group raises the energy and is even better than practicing alone. It helps motivate us to continue practicing. Jan Tucker leads Qigong movements every week, to help you develop and continue a strong practice.

The Internet makes it so convenient to do Qigong in a group! You don’t have to get motivated, get dressed, and go out! These classes are live. Participants say they still feel the increased energy of group practice when we do the movements together online.
Jan holds this hour-long practice each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time using Zoom.us (don’t worry, you’ll get instructions). Drop in whenever you want by paying for one class or pay for multiple classes (through a Class Pack) to save.
What Qigong will do for you
During and after your Healing with Qigong class, you will feel energized, rejuvenated, lighter, more optimistic, and at the same time balanced, relaxed, and peaceful. People leave Jan’s classes smiling and happy.
What to expect
Qigong movements and Qigong meditations are both integral parts of Qigong healing. We will practice the Qigong movements during each class and we will have a special Qigong guided meditation.
We will often be completing the Chinese five-element movements in our practice. As we do the movements, Jan will guide you to relax, feel the energy, and understand the value of the movement.
Understanding Qigong
During both types of practice, the movements and the meditations, you will move Qigong energy through your energy channels (meridians) and in and around your internal organs to remove energy blockages, replacing them with pure, universal energy.
Qi is your vital energy—it’s the life energy that keeps you alive and governs every movement in your body, all the way to the cell level. It’s the same thing as Universal energy (Quantum physics tells us we are all made from energy—universal energy and your vital energy are the same substance). You are using universal energy to balance your whole body and each organ system to create optimal health, peace, and longevity. You are balancing your yin and yang energy.
What Qigong movements do
Qigong movements resemble Tai Chi, but unlike Tai Chi (based on military movements), Qigong movements are designed specifically for healing and wellness. Each movement focuses on increasing the energy flow to a different internal body organ or organs.
You will feel energized and peaceful at the same time. You’ll know you are doing something so healthy for your body, mind, and spirit. Qigong, practiced regularly, will keep you primed for optimal health.
What Qigong meditations do
Qigong meditations are special meditations that also help you work with and balance your internal qi or vital energy. For example, during the small universe meditation, you will guide your attention and your energy around 12 internal energy centers to balance your life force in every organ and chakra center. Balanced yin and yang energy results in longevity and lifelong well-being.
How to register for a class
To participate in a Healing with Qigong class, select ONE Wednesday you want to participate in the calendar above. Then Click on the button that shows the time (6:30 p.m. Pacific Time). You can pay for your class securely in the pop-up window either directly with your credit card or through PayPal. We do NOT store or see your credit card information.
